REFLECTIONS
Experience
This semester was off to a rough start because of troubles with my Adobe, so it was difficult to manage my work with the backload of assignments piled up. However, I am thankful that in the end, I was able to get everything done. As well as being able to create end results that I don't hate.
Overall, this module gave me ample opportunities to experience new things. Whether that is being a sound crew, creating a stop motion animation, filming a short Instagram reel etc., I'm grateful for all the things I got to try my hand at and enjoy.
Observations
There are a lot of behind-the-scenes work involved with creating videos. From creating or setting up the location/set, or editing and post-production, it takes a lot of effort to create even just a minute or so of footage, especially if there are a lot of scene changes or even just angle changes.
It also can take quite a long time to edit. Even just the audio dubbing project, it took me around a day despite being only adding sound effects. When creating a movie, imagine how much time it would take to edit the entire movie from all the takes and raw footage.
Findings
I got to really understand just how much I love sound effects. It's cool how you can take a random combination of sound effects from the internet, or a game, or even real life, and put it all together in the same video and create something that sounds real.
