REFLECTION

In this module, I relearnt about the design principles, which is important knowledge to keep in mind to analyse other designs and to create my own. I enjoyed being able to portray my emotions in an artwork, and I liked that we could choose whatever medium we wanted. This gave us quite a bit of creative freedom, and allowed me to think out of the box and explore interesting ideas, such as the '3D artwork' idea that I did for my final. I can't really think of anything I didn't enjoy, rather just obstacles I encountered that made me struggle. Though, of course, the process of creating art isn't easy, and colouring my artwork was a bit tiring for me, though that is all really. I learnt, or rather was reminded of the fact that I am quite an emotional person, I like fantasy elements, and I love telling stories. These parts of me are things that contributed to my final artwork. I think that through this I have learnt (once again, really) to not hold myself back so much. I've realised that I tend to create invisible restrictions for myself that limit my creativity and imagination, and I'm glad that I was able to take a step in breaking out of them during this module, as small a step it may be. As for what can be improved in this module, I can't really think of anything. This module let us choose an SDG that we resonated with or wanted to cover, incorporate elements that we enjoyed, and overall gave us creative freedom. That is something I appreciate and I think is good.
